What Actually Happens During a Weekly Pool Service Visit in Frisco TX

Most pool service companies show up, add chemicals, and leave in 10–15 minutes. You never see what was done, never know if anything was checked, and only find out something is wrong when the pool turns green or equipment breaks. There's a better way.

Here's exactly what happens on every Simple Dimple Pool Service visit.

The Same Technician, Every Time

Before anything else — you know who's coming. We assign one technician to each account. The same person shows up week after week, learns your pool, and knows what normal looks like. That matters more than most homeowners realize.

When something changes — pressure is slightly higher than usual, a fitting looks different, the water is responding differently to chemicals — a technician who knows your pool notices it. A stranger seeing your pool for the first time doesn't have that baseline.

Water Testing First

Every visit starts with a water test. Not a glance at the color of a test strip — an actual reading of all relevant parameters: free chlorine, combined chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, and stabilizer (cyanuric acid).

The results determine what goes in the pool that day. Nothing is added by default or habit. The chemistry drives the decision.

Chemical Addition — Done Right

Chemicals are added based on what the water needs, one at a time, with the pump running, distributed properly. Not dumped in a corner. Not all at once.

In Frisco and Prosper, where hard water already puts calcium and alkalinity under pressure, the order and method of chemical addition matters. Done wrong, it causes clouding, staining, or scale. Done right, the water stays balanced longer and the pool stays clear between visits.

Brushing, Skimming, and Baskets

Walls and steps get brushed every visit — not occasionally. Brushing prevents algae from taking hold on surfaces before it becomes visible in the water. Steps and corners are the first places algae appears and the first places a rushed technician skips.

Skimmer baskets and pump baskets are emptied. Debris left in baskets restricts flow and makes the pump work harder. In Celina and Aubrey where trees are common near pool decks, baskets fill quickly.

The surface is skimmed — leaves, pollen, insects, anything floating that the skimmer hasn't caught.

Equipment Check — Every Visit

While at your pool, we look at the equipment. Pump pressure, filter pressure gauge, obvious leaks at fittings, anything that looks different from last week. This is how problems get caught early.

A pump that's developing a slow drip. A filter pressure that's trending up week over week. A fitting that's showing stress. None of these announce themselves loudly — they develop gradually. A technician who checks every visit sees them developing. One who only adds chemicals doesn't.

In North Dallas, where equipment runs year-round and repairs aren't cheap, catching problems early is one of the most valuable things consistent service provides.

The Visit Takes 30+ Minutes

Our visits run a minimum of 30 minutes. In Texas summer when pools need the most attention, often longer. This is not an industry standard — most companies target 10–15 minutes per stop to maximize the number of pools per day. We keep technician routes manageable so each pool gets the time it needs.

Thirty minutes is enough time to do the job right. Fifteen minutes is enough to check a box.

A Photo and Video Report After Every Visit

After every service, you receive a report with photos and video showing what was done and what the pool and equipment look like. You know what chemicals were added, what was tested, and what if anything was flagged.

If we noticed something during the visit that needs attention — a filter that's approaching replacement, a pump that's starting to make a different sound, a crack that wasn't there last week — it's in the report. With documentation, not a verbal mention you might not remember.

You Can Always Call

Between visits, if something looks wrong, if the water changes, if you have a question — call or text. You'll reach a real person who knows your pool and can tell you whether it needs attention before the next scheduled visit.

This is pool service that treats your pool like something worth protecting — because the equipment in it represents a significant investment, and the water in it is where your family spends the summer.
